When I saw them many moons ago they were driving Leyland Marinas
Think they might be in one of those shots.

I do believe you are correct.

I don't think they ever had the finely honed skills of the Purple Helmets...

Col they are 1900cc engined left hand drive LJ Torana like the ones sold in Indonesia. They use an LC Torana steering column and wheel.

Haha no Col. Looks like an EK Holden.
Canada had Hell drivers too by the looks of it. Wonder if they were French Canadians?
Posted 30 January 2016 - 08:21 PM
Come to think of it this bloke looks a bit French-ish...
Posted 30 January 2016 - 08:22 PM

Seen them at Newcastle Showground .... maybe 73.......... they were driving LJ's ........ best stunt show ever ... specially when your 12 -13 ...lol

I saw them in 73 too Ian.
At Nowra.
Can remember because the old man paid for us to go with a 50 buck note.
They had only just come out. The guy collecting the money had never seen one before.
From memory they did at least an East Coast Tour.
As a youngen they were pretty spectacular.

I believe this is Jose Canga and his International Motor Rodeo.

Col they are 1900cc engined left hand drive LJ Torana like the ones made and sold in
IndonesiaThe Philippines. They use an LC Torana steering column and wheel.
I should correct my above statement. Delete Indonesia and insert 'made and sold in The Philippines'.
