I vaguely remember seeing them running LH Toranas around Pukekohe racetrack many, many moons ago. If I can find the programme I'll scan it...

I guess the LH's were the Filipino model being left hand drive.

At least the LJ's had the wipers the right way. Maybe the LH's weren't moved at the factory.

I remember my father coming home in a gold HK GTS Monaro that was all sign written just like a race car, and then going to see the French He’ll Drivers at the local show ground, and of course I was taken in the GTS Monaro ( my Dad was a Holden Dealer at the time ).
As part of the show I remember they had the two front sections of Mini’s joined back to back - as the show progressed the two halves were broken apart and just driven on the front wheels while dragging the back end around.
This is the first time I have ever found others who remember the Hell Drivers, good stuff.

Hey RallyRed the clip on the facebook site in filmed in Tamworth. It was at a motorbike track owned by Harry Pine. It is now residential blocks. The clip is on the end of Torana XU1 When Your Hot, You're Hot. I remember that day quite well and I see a number of people I knew at the time in the crowd. I was about 14 at the time.
