Yes he made the mold from A9X 4 door flairs, which he joined together and put a hatch lower section on. Talked to him about it when I got mine.

Talked to Fat Pipes today, cars been fitted with 17/8 extractors and 31/2 inch twin exhaust. System will be a full system including tail pipes, will be able to remove tailpipes and dump before the diff for the strip! Cannot wait for start up!! I will keep you updated.

You guys are right! Cannot buy wide flares anymore, looks like I'll be making my own!

Nice build. Fat tires under a LX Hatch does it for me!

Decided to leave the hatch in Brissy for a couple more weeks and get some extra work done!
Getting bored while the hatch is away so have pulled the SLR out and continuing with its resto!
Tunnel work above, previous owner moved the hole for the shifter back and stuffed up the tunnel. I was going to fit a donor tunnel, but decided to tidy it up and fit a T5

How do they recommend sealing the primary pipe to the collector? Fantastic build by the way!

Tell you the truth, I don't know I never ask, it was a suprise when the car turned up. Each extractor is made up of 4 individual pipes, as you can see they are tuned and have to be fitted in order to get the setup in position, they go to 3 1/2 to the muffler and then go to 3". All up including coating $4500. Not bad I thought!

Generally we fit with a bead of high temp silastic. That combined with ten generally being a tolerance fit, plus a bolt/slide tab to hold the pipe in place.

We don't usually get many leaks

Headers look fantastic. Fat pipes do some very nice work, for such quality it is well worth the $$ and when coated they look amazing. I used the aeroflow slip on collectors in a 2" to 3.5" collector and with interference fit you get zero leaks. After you coat the fit is very tight but we still put on retainer tags, bolt-able flanges and o2 tuning bungs.

With the LSX your hatch will go very well.

The only thing I would worry about is ground clearance on the pipes that go under the cross member, but they look very well made.

Scott Rods did my set the same a few years back. 1 7/8 primaries to twin 3" All individual pipes and same collector.
I thought they would leak too but somehow they don't. I put anti seize on mine to make the collector come off easier because it was a real Cunning Stunt the first time I had to remove it.

Are you getting it dyno tuned? I'm interested to see the figures for RWHP as I have a similar drive line and I've always worked it out around 28% loss

Looks like it will be fun regardless of the number. I bet you're busting to go for a spin ;)
