Free is in the budget, if it's useable.
Haven't found it yet.

Not sure whether your budget would permit it, but what about weber-type throttle bodies and injection?
Modern with the old school look.
Maybe something like this: http://www.carbureti...ylinjection.asp
Or if you use the 12 port head, what about the injection that comes on the VKs
cheers

The VK manifold is very good for what its designed for, a stock 202 that turns to 4500rpm. After that it very quickly reaches its limitations.

Umm, silly question....
Have you had a read of Old Johnno's "How to build the hot Holden six"??
You should.
Can't be bothered with the link, just google the above if you haven't.

If I was building this I'd use a good 9 port head, [email protected]" cam on 108 centres and an SU manifold with TM40-6 carbs. I'd also try to use lightweight pistons and rods. Simple and affordable with a good spread of power.

Hey bomber its not a max power manifold but with just port matching and a 500 holley my fj pulled a 13.89 1/4 .don't knock it until you've tried it.
I think he was referring to the VK efi manifold, not the carb manifold.

From memory it was 2420lb without me in it.what does yr torana weigh.

2522lb without me in it. Heavy diff, heavy tail shaft, heavy wheels, heavy battery and a lined boot all contribute.
