Hi my LC Torana  barn find is working out to be a bit of a challenge, but I'm getting there slowly.  I have installed a new wiper motor as the car did not have one. I have hooked it up and pushed on my headlight dash switch and to my surprise the wiper motor starts up:)  It does the same thing on the wiper motor switch,  but you have to hold the wiper motor  switch to keep the wiper motor moving. Let it go and it stops. Anyone had this issue before,  maybe an earth problem? any advise would be helpful. Cheers Gary

Check all your earths. There will be one on the dash, one behind the dash on the firewall. Check them first.

Then the earth on the wiper motor to frame.
