Hello All,

have searched for information regarding the metal stamped gauge production number,

that is on the back of the dash speedometer housing,

and was wondering how to read the numbers?

or are the numbers just in sequence from the first one made through to the last one made?

My 120MPH Dash came out of an LC GTR with this very faint number on the back:-

2808286

Attached File  IMG_2808286.jpg   113.8K   1 downloads

and have since found another one from Mike Catt's GTR being a very clear to read '73' model:-

99295562

So I just thought if you could say what you have stamped on your Dash in this thread,

along with the year the Torana was built, what model it is,

so we can get an idea of the numbers being put on them.

I will be most appreciative to see what pattern comes out of this. :)

2808286 and 9929556 are simply the part numbers for those combined instrument panel assemblies.

Ah yes, I see that now in Mike's one Dave thank-you,

I'll have another look at my other now for the Date stamp, hmm.

EDIT:-

Yes, appears to be V 1,0  8 - 70,

 that's great.

 and the 11 - 69 will do great for the 69-RAT. :)

and W 1,0 is what the other is, instead of W 10

Can just see the 286 at the end of the production number on the 11 - 69 dash,

as someone had painted the panel silver, and the paint has filled most of the numbers over.

And the LC GTR one was simply really dirty from years of grime, so with a good clean, I can see the numbers clearly now.

Thank-you for your help.
