You don't hear the revs change when you're on the limiter hey.

Was that 1/8th mile ?
Yes.
And now you have.

Limiter is set at 8000, the revs only flare up about 200rpm.

Just curious Warren, where is your peak HP? 6800rpm?

Maybe 7700-7800?

6800 rpm. I think it's higher after some head work but haven't had it on the rollers to confirm it.
If limiter set at 8000, I'm guessing very close to 8000 for peak HP
Maybe 7700-7800?
I set the limiter a 1000 rpm higher as it sounded like I was hitting the limiter at a race meet some years ago, so I bumped it up, wasn't the limiter though, just never changed it back.

Cheers Warren... I figured 6800 would be close- havent seen many cast headed 202s with the peaks much higher than that- I guess the limitations of the head design come into play above about 7k. I know JZED/ Duggan heads are making the peaks quite high in the range though. Whats interesting is my setup makes the peak at 5800-6000 but holds it strong to 6800 then drops off sharp.
Cheers for the great discussion!
