Trying to locate as many original parts as i can will be the hard and expensive part
It is in todays climate, but you are well cemented in the scene & i'm sure there are plenty of us who will help out.

Looks fantastic Tony. Keith's head ruined the first pick though LOl...All the fun is about to begin. And that little stroker will liven the old girl up :-)

Looks great. Tony, can you confirm if it has the 8 seat bolt holes and captive nuts for the front seats? Does it have a Betts fan motor?

Hi Gerry,
motor got rebuilt by John Fenech race engines, stroked to a 355, VL big valve heads, mild cam, rochester carby
John mentioned that when he clearanced the bores for the stroker crank, that he had never seen a 308 block like this.............Being a NT block did Holden cast them differently ???

GMH only had the one foundry for engines so GMP&A blocks were made side by side with production ones. Maybe he never machined a HJ onwards one?
Remember early 1969 to about 8/74 are basically the same then about 9/74 through to the introduction of XT5 blocks (about mid 1978) are a different casting. Then onwards until the end of carbied engines. Would be interesting to know what he says is different.
can you tell by the picture of the block
he said something about having to ground more metal

Hey Tony I have no idea. Perhaps just a good solid block. Glad you got to use it though.
