Where does Gene actually state that he is the one reconditioning these pumps?
Could be his missus fixing them up.
$250.00 for a pump sounds a bit spensive though.
Just saying.

Simply if you're not interested in one and have nothing useful to add to the conversation or don't have a sensible question then there's no need to post any comments, or a simple no thanks will do.

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezuz, just having a friendly joust that's all.
I've reco'd a few red and grey motor fuel pumps in my time. Can't say I've gone the route of re-plating all the bibs n bobs though. Just used the best looking bits from a couple of pumps and a new Goss repair kit to build up a pump.

Thanks James im going the whole hog with theseI've got to agree with gene here. By the time you get a decent used pump, strip it down, thoroughly clean everything, replate the parts, purchase the kits and add your labour to rebuild it I can see where the price is justified.

hydro blasting the body ,replating all parts ,and rebuild kit and reassamble they will look brand new when finished

I'm guessing he's not making much an hour at that price point by the time all the costs come in.
