I don't reckon you sold it all that cheap from WA, sure in Sydney or Melbourne you may have got $20-$25k but a long way to pay that sort of money for something especially sight unseen although hatchbacks are stupid at the moment and people get all excited over them. If you Ebay'ed it you'd have a massive headf%&k with all the losers and dreamers bothering you for the sake of a few grand extra, and i'd bet you'd probably be re-listing it 2 or 3 times due to non payers.

Exactly my point.....I very rarely sell anything because I would end up in Jail for ripping some fckwits head off!

This was a 5 minute decision....should sell the hatch, yeah, open computer....BAM gone!

No for sale listings or anything, you want, I got, give me money and come get......don't stuff me around!

The Hatch is what it is, and if the new owner see's it is a 25 000 dollar car over that side of the country, he should be happy!

But I know the work involved restoring these things and I can sleep at night with the price he paid........even if it was a steal :)

This is an original L20, M20, GU4 Vehicle...... all the body tags and chassis numbers original and matching.

I don't think the 308 engine number was of any real concern as not original engine.

at the end of day, as long as you are happy and you sold for what you felt was a fair price..

I too recently sold a Torana, that a lot of people said i sold it too cheap !

it also was sold within a 2 day period and i did not have to deal with low ballers and experts

the money i got was quickly put to good use, as i bought a genuine unrestored LH SLR5000

Perfect comparison Skap. $47k for that in Victoria needing bugger all work to me equates to what the subject car of this thread sold for in WA needing a full body restore and probably mechanical restore.

It still needs a resto and is $47'000. That other hatch was still too cheap.

Apparently that white one was full of bog and has a roof cut-replacement not done very well. $44.7k is too much if it needed a lot of panel work to make it last another 40 years

I would hate to see the price after rebuild and for less money you could buy nice L31 with no rebuild.
