Hi! Does anyone know where I can hire a classic and very cool Torana? Its my anniversary on the 17th August and I am planning to hire a cool ride for my torana-obsessed boyfriend as a surprise.

Help! and Thank you!

Hi Joan,  I might be wrong but I would be surprised if anyone is willing to hire out their very cool Torana.  Beside the obvious, there is likely to be issues with insurance and other legalities in the event of a mishap.  I think the best you may get is someone willing to chauffeur you around in one.  Good luck.  Ron

If the search fails, perhaps one of these for the day ?

You would probably be best to start with a company like this, as they do weddings and would have all the insurance and legalities sorted out. They say they have a Torana but I don't know if you would be allowed to drive it. Would be worth a phone call though as they could probably point you in the right direction.

The unlikelyness of someone letting you hire one aside, what an awesome missus.

This ones a keeper.

doesnt sound like she is asking to hire someones personal car... but a company that does it.  not a bad business idea really and the cars would be all tax deductible :)

Bloody hell , how hard can it be to set up a simple drive , meet the lady , let her drive with owner somewhere in car (back seat) and throw in a few other cars  front and behind just for sport  to make her  day ...ffs

I reckon a lot of Torana owners would let a stranger have a turn with their wife before they ever let a stranger loose in their prized Torana. :)

To be honest I thought why not? Take the Hatch for the day, what can go wrong?

But no offense, if something did go wrong, yes I'm insured, but I loose I car I have put a shite load of work in to.
Then starts the, how old is said boyfriend? My car is insured for over 25's only. What is his driving history like? Etc......
You get the picture.

If it is a cruise in a Torana he is after, PM me, let's get out and about for a few ours.

(note: no offense to anyone intended with the above)

Unfortunately AMCE has posted on their homepage they were closing up the business on the 30th June 2015.
