I believe its K for Commodore (i.e. not Calais or Statesman or Berlina), 19 for sedan body styleAny idea what K19 represents ?

Dr Terry will correct me if wrong, but in VN I think K means Executive, L is Berlina and X is Calais. The SS is special vehicle package A9F (man) or A9G (auto). Exactly the same principle of SS in HQ being an option package on a standard model in its case the Belmont V8 sedan.
I'm not bodgy mate, I don't remove tags
But that tag I could get the rivets off from below..
Any idea what K19 represents ?
Yes you could, hard to do it with the other ones though.
A fitter can get things off that a sparky thinks are impossible
Like a Plumber? I think you'll find a sparky just isn't interested!

Old photos (gravel driveway) but it hasn't changed apart from that motor blowing itself to bits.

I won't mention engine builders here, but it went like a train. I have seen the eyes of a man on a Fireblade who was ready to give up on life, because he couldn't shake a VN Commodore off his arse. However with the Motec set for a 7,500 rev limit and an A9L crank and rods something was going to let go sooner or later.
It has been at the back of the shed ever since.

Good old cars.
I treat my cars with kid gloves, but that old SS was the exception.
I caned that thing, & so did my mrs & kids. lol. I found out at my sons bucks party that he used to go racing his mates in their skylines. He did borrow it a lot.
Somebody had spent a lot of coin on the suspension. It did handle very well.
Fully optioned with nothing.

Those 2 VN's look a little more manly than yours with their third pedal.
Completely agree.

I'm more a fan of the 304/T5 combo than the car.

You will notice these are 'had'
Only a few still 'have'
There is a reason for this
