I bought this about 5 years ago it is a 73 gtr                                                                                                                                                                                                              Glacier white with black vinyl roof                                                                                                                                                                                                                 interior is 58x which is doeskin and chestnut,a combination i quite like. will put up a couple of photos of a car with the same interior

doesn't look much  but is rust free by the look of it                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   It has been sitting in primer for the last 20 years or more,so any uglies should have come through by now

Cool, looks like a solid base - what are your plans? When are you starting?

Hi Rodney, this will look great i think, why not keep the vinyl roof. It's how it came & it'll be a little different, i would restore it to original, you could do it all, paint it ect. & buy a vinyl roof from winner's sit it on & decide easy as but I'd take it back to factory. Gary.

As much as reinstating the vinyl roof would be in keeping with the cars originality personally I wouldn't. Vinyl roofs can be a moisture trap if not installed properly.

Dave i don't know how much of an issue it would be if you painted properly under it & garaged the car & it wasn't a daily driver ect. Things are a lot better nowadays, and if it was sealed right should be okay i think. Just my opinion though. Gary.

It usually just has a powder additive to give it the coarser rougher non reflective finish, sorry i can't remember what it's called atm though.

Great looking project you got there Rodney, mate if you don't want to go with the vinyl roof why not do it in paint.

Cheers gong

Progress has been slow but on a bit of a roll now , body was taken back to bare metal and coated in Debeer epoxy, next to no rust but a few old repairs will need a bit of love, engine bay has been repainted and the diff, gearbox , engine and front end have all been rebuilt.Attached File  IMG_1490 (1).jpg   16.28K   3 downloads
