Nice work Dave - Did you think that I "invented" the content of my post and you needed to 'fact check' me? Thanks for your confidence.
That was not my intention Bazza.
I was mystified why the information, if it was a warranty issue or a safety recall, was furnished in another publication but not dealt with in the normal manner in a Dealer Service Letter.

Cheers, put 'em up for sale to the highest bidder.
Whatever yours sell for then OEM NOS should be worth at least double the price.

Johnno, put some pink grease pen marks on em and claim they are the original clamps off the Pink V8 prototype from when The HDT swapped out the original bar in favour of a Lovells (made by Selby's) that would have been illegal to use in 1972 Group E.

I'd try the wreckers. I'm sure they used something similar.

Selby's and KMAC were the only suspension company making sway bars for Torana's in the early 1970's
Lovells only made coils in that time frame, told by Selby's family.

The Homologation papers for the V8 LJ were never sent into Cams
24c HDT XU1 has the same front sway bar, interesting.

My two bob bet is that Gene's clamp is from a Hendersons bar which were also around back in the day. They were a similiar colour green to the forum page highlight square. Pretty sure I have a couple of them as well.
Never heard of the clamps breaking, but the bars used to (and still do> I broke one a few months back... ouch .... as I hadn't thought to check its installation), the main problem being that they get installed with the front end jacked up off the ground (ease of access). When the car is lowered back to the ground the bar is pretensioned to its limit; hit a bump/bottom the suspension out, and bang... $800+ straight to scrap! The bar needs to be installed and tightened with the suspension in its normal road going position.
Cheers,

Correct, Lovells didn't make anti-sway bars. As I have told you before, Lovells branded anti-sway bars were made for them by Selby's.
The V8 XU1 (XW7) was to be equipped with the normal 82911 front anti-sway bar and no rear bar.
The front anti-sway bar that is currently fitted to 24C is not the anti-sway bar that 24C would have raced with.
