Got told by the guy who gave me these that they are Special torana nuts in that they where only used on a certain model either SLR or A9X. I have no idea they just look like wheel nuts.
Have a look and let me know what they are off please...

This nut style (pictured) appeared on GTS rims during the HX-Z period, I think it had something to do with the stud length on the Disc brake rear option. Maybe just an update.
They also come in a black finish on UC SLE alloy rims and maybe others.
There are plenty out there, just need to look around. I have a small bucket full.

I think these nuts also fit LH/LX SL/R & also the LX SL Hatch. These are the ones that protrude thru the 5 holes in the grey plastic wheel trim.

Had it confirmed today by the original owner of my car, he took one look at them and said they are the same as the ones he has been looking for to give me, so by the sound of it when or if he finds the original set for my car, I will have a couple of sets, so if he comes through I will be happy to hand a set to someone on the forum who has an LX SLR and wants original SLR "DUCKS NUTS!!"

The Avatar is from a scene in the movie, not long before he starts destroying the truck.
But my nickname of Duck (which by the way even my parents call me) I have had since I was 3 way back in the early 70's.
Mercey sakes Kangur, I'm gonna back on outta here so keep the bugs off your glass and the bears off your ass and I'll catch you on the flip flop I'm gone.

PS: Just read this and thought I had better explain that I like the movie but I am definitely not one of those wanna be trucky tossers. this is purely written for humour reasons

AFAIK the LX 'S' models had chromed or stainless hubcaps, do you mean the UC 'S' models.

Watched it when i was like ten or something. You couldn't have got me away from anything with a vehicle in the name or on the front cover back then.
...pretty similar story now actually lol
*goes to find a copy of Convoy again*
lol back on track, I'm interested in some chromed 7/16" nuts of any style. Obviously not going for originality lol but if you come across any that you're not wanting to hang onto, gimme a yell.
Cheers

I'm sorry I don't quite know which ones you are referring to. To my knowledge the LX 'S' models use the same hub cap pressing as LC 6, LJ 6 & LH 'S' models (they are also the same preesing as HD/HR Holdens. The LX 'S' plain steel rim is either 5.5" or 4.5", depending on whether it has RTS or not. The reason I use the word 'pressing' is that the paint treatment in the cap's centre varied according to model. The UC 'S' models use the same rim as RTS LXs (5.5" x 13" steel) but a small plastic centre cap & the wheel nuts mentioned earlier (in black, from memory).
Can you post a picture of the rims you mean.
