I was 14, my first experience of grog the night before. Laid on mum's couch Bathurst day and watched my first Bathurst from start to finish.

I like your story Rodomo.
Gene, an old coat? I don't get it.
RX7s came out in 1978 I think. It is better to be older in order to really appreciate them. Remember what they did for Group C.

LOL, cunny funts, all of you. Bomber and Heath like my Jag and that's all that matters. Our future is in good hands with young blokes like them coming on. Not sure how I defend the 7...yeah start the go fund me page.
And I personally like Gene since he agreed with me on something recently but I would be remiss not to mention Glensxu1's powers of perception.

Not good that they got burnt.

Speedy recovery to them.

Shame about the ute.

But certainly looks like there may have been a dickhead element somewhere.

As for insurance.

Its a bit of a personal choice whether you buy it or not.

If you choose not to then you wear the consequences.

And hopefully no one else loses because of it.

As for the go fund me page.

Donate or not.

Your choice.

But there are so many of them being rammed down our throats these days for all reasons, no wonder many are getting sick of them.

Then there are those who will insult you for not giving.

That strengthens my resolve not to.

But that is my choice.

I have my own favourite charities I give to.

Fairly basic stuff really without 'pointing fingers" , something went out of shape , so who is to blame ? , the owner without some sort

of "insurance".?

That is a truly fukt up tail shaft from a 253 regardless if the diff welded it self  together , in a ute you would have thought that if the

diff got that hot and tended to combine metals that the rear end just would have turned into a skapicator of some description and went

sideways sort of to a decent halt ?

So,  do we know what "road authority " "passed" the test ?, it might be all well and good for mates to do their own tests , but what happens  when the shit hits the fan ?

Insurance is not the issue , most of it is a requirement to be able to drive on the road , property insurance is another story and if a problem occurs the "evaluators" will be all over you like flies on shit.

Just as well we have decent people in this place to care for people.

Just gotta go and but weld an axle.

What road authority???
Its SA.

Google it.

You pay your rego and you're on the road.
Even if its been off the road for 10-15yrs.
Aslong as it wasn't defected or another car now has its engine no. Etc them you're good to go.
If everything is as it was last it was registered then you're back on the road no inspection needed. The onus is on you.

Its why so many cars registered as 6cyl or 4cyl and have v8s etc. Leave the car with original engine number and just register it as usual. Then drive until caught....

Majority do the right thing and its just a few that do the dodgey.
Actually very few shitboxes on the road these days that ive seen.
Most get picked up or are dumped for a better car as they're so cheap for a 2nd hand car.

The comments in that post about Wayne's car is typical keyboard hero replies from people who weren't there and don't know the actual story.

By the time we noticed the flames and he pulled over it was to late, no pissy little fire extinguisher was going to put out that fire, when the transmission line was split and flicking fluid everywhere. Sadly all we could do was watch it burn while waiting for the fireys to turn up.

It was extremely hard to watch and not be able to do anything.

Oh and Wayne had insurance and while we were having a late lunch he was checking out what the next car was going to be.
