^ agree , shit happens ...but in this day and age with all the so called legals involved in getting a wagon on the road it is sad to see

that a once nice looking u bute just gets let burnt & person injuries as well , ? ffs , $ might not be everything but try putting a bit of time

& $ into something and shit happens & it is all gone !

Saw a nice stock 253 HQ premy (maroon it was ) go up in smoke on the side of the road simply coz the fuel line was pointing in the

wrong direction and it sprung a leek , so not pointing fingers , the dumb shits that make these things (and certain other aspects) of

"road safety" , without being to fokn legalistic , the idiots that recommend certain values like steel lines , cut out switches etc. are there

for basic values , including life.

At least they made it alive  and will live for next one :)

Go ahead , run high pressure fuel pumps with rubber lines and wires , when something goes wrong and rubber wont crimp when the worst happens we will have problems , point the finger , my fukn oath we will point the finger , these people spent time & effort getting

the thing on road , so who the frok is responsible for allowing a Q burn ? , when in the past the dead shit engineers even from the "30s"

all used steel lines , but i guess times move on ? , and we are all so much frokn smarter than the idiots back then ?

With time and patience and a little work steel line can be run to an electric fuel pump.
I have.
People just get lazy and its easier to run rubber fuel line.
Plus its what the guys at the shops sell you (note they're retail store workers. Not mechanics or engineers)

So im not sure. Are you saying he should point the finger at someone that sold him something? Or at himself for fitting it?

End of the day it's their car and their choice as to what people buy and use on it.

Steel lines are really good at cracking too.

I may stand alone with this, but I'm sick and tired of everything getting a fundraiser on social media. People need to deal with their own losses

That's how it's people deal with their losses in the USA.

I was having a debate about our health system with a good ol' boy who thinks people shouldn't pay tax to help others pay their medical bills. I then asked, so what happens if you're poor and sick in the USA. His response was that you seek help from your community, do fundraisers, etc.

Yeah right, I know I can rely on my neighbours next time I'm in hospital. Now you see why so many sick people end up homeless after selling their homes to pay for surgeries.

As mentioned though, if you don't like the cause, don't donate, not every fundme page reaches their target, some fail dismally.

Imagine the conversations we would be having if that uninsured HQ went up the back of a nice Monaro or A9X.

By uninsured are you sure they didn't have 3rd party?  When the OP said 'to watch it burn uninsured' I just thought it meant it didn't have full comprehensive as many people don't have fire and theft but have 3rd party as it's so cheap.
