Who can we speak to about having a vendor stall setup along with our entries (at this stage will have four cars with the stall)

Didn't the Council become unwilling to allow TF to return there in 2015 following the 2014 hiatus citing concerns about all those cars parked about the parkland?
Seems strange they have since invested in a car race to be held in the same precinct...
Pity, that was a great location.

Cmon. What's the whack with accomadation ?
Yes I'm impatient
Might have to be PATIENT Paul, if you have had anything to do with organising such a large event as Toranafest, you would realise that it is a humongous task and takes a lot of time and work to get every thing in place
The HVTC have done a fantastic job in organising Toranafest in the past and I have no doubt that they will do another fantastic job this time and YES, I am chomping at the bit to get back up there in September

Question?
People started to book the motels from Tuesday but it was only just put on facebook today?
So get in quick people as the large rooms are gone!

Here you go everyone, entry forms and past entrant letter.

We've had trouble hosting these online, and this Dropbox link is a work around.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone.

I have already entered and booked accommodation :-)
Are we going to get a confirmation email to say they have received our entry/payments? I requested one but haven't heard back as of yet.

Same here Gerry. Last time it was quite a few weeks before getting a confirmation from memory.
I hope they are running a shuttle bus between the motels every 10 minutes

G'day All
Yes, opened for all on faceache, bit disappointing to hear from a mate in Tassie that it was already on there and no, I did not get an email to say Toranafest was open for previous entrants considering I have been going since 2008

The emails were sent yesterday to previous entrants. A download link to the entrants letter and entry forms was posted on here at the same time they were posted on Facebook.

To one and all,
If you can just be aware that those of us that run this event work full time, run businesses, and look after families, etc We do this for the love of it and nothing else.
Firstly, the release of info to the public.
The plan was to release the info in the best way possible and that was decided that it be placed on Facebook (with over 7,500 people reached and another dozen shares) as well as here (which this thread alone has had over 38,000 views) as these two areas had the best potential to release the information to the most amount of people, at the same time.
Yes, it was always planned to send out an email to past entrants (both 2013 and 2015) which takes in around 500 - 600 people. That email was released two days later due to difficulties in trying to send to so many people. Sorry Our Bad!
The two motels (which have the combined amount of rooms as did Motto Farm Motel) that have been chosen are in walking distance to each other and the Club, as well as Rutherford Shopping Centre, etc.
The reason that they were chosen was because we are supporting local businesses in the Area and the venues for the Meet and Greet and the Dinner is second to none! No more wet arse or trying to hear people if it rains. The Club also boasts some of the cheapest beer in the Hunter and it really was a no brainer to have the functions.
The large demand for rooms has been amazing and when I went to see the two motels on Sat morning, one had been fully booked and the other had 20 rooms left. NONE of the rooms were being kept on hold and all reservations were to individuals.
The two motels (Maitland City Motel and the Old Maitland Inn) are now FULL.
There are a number of other motels around that we suggest people try. Those being;
Maitland Monte Pio
Molly Morgan Motor Inn
Best Western Endeavour Motel, and
Best Western, Hunter Gateway.
I would strongly suggest that you book online as I was getting very different prices with on of the motels when I saw them in person.
Club Maitland City runs a shuttle bus so people at the outlying motels will still be able to get to the Meet and Greet and the Dinner without worrying about driving.
For those that wish to do the camping thing I would suggest calling Maitland Show ground.
Based on the interest so far, this year is going to be the biggest ever and we have tried our best to cater for that with everything.
We hope to see you all there.
cheers
Mick

Having organised our clubs accommodation in the past I can honestly say it is a pain in the butt big time! So I applaud the HVTC opening it up the way they did. Let everyone organise themselves. Similar to our Nationals here last year. And Like everything in life, first in best dressed. I am glad we did get in early though I wouldn't have thought it would be full so quickly. Goes to show that the event still is well loved!

I am still shocked that the rooms sold out so fast. Some of our members missed the boat and don't have a room. We told everyone to get in early too.
