Hi, remember tomorrow is the last day to enter Toranafest for $45, car entry price increases to $55 on 1st August.

 

We currently sit at 285 entrants.

we are trying to track down an entrant to Toranafest that has made a deposit but we haven't received a form as yet. 

 

The details of the deposit are:

8 May SERVICE ONE Harrison Entry Fee

 

Service One Credit Union 

Harrison is the name. 

 

Anyone know who it is? We need their entry form.

I've been going since 2008 and have made many friends and every Toranafest weekend is better than the last one

 

I don't know how the HVTC do it    BUT  they do

 

Definitely not a "SummerNats" type event AND definitely not one to miss for the Torana enthusiast

There's only so many car spaces and we are well on the way to filling them.

As one grows older, one's memory tends to fade a bit    so I thought I would throw up a few pics from my previous Toranafests 

 

2008

Oh, and there were some Toranas there causing a traffic jam

This became a bit of an arm wrestle to work out what to do with your spare time

 

 

A lovely lady was there to share her memories

 

 

Two blokes were too tight to book a room so they slept in their A9X's

 

 

Now jump 2 years to biennial 2015 Toranafest

 

At the Toranafest cruise, one fella had forgotten where he parked his Torana 

Yes, that's him on the left scratching his head

 

 

AND no wonder he couldn't find it, bloody Toranas every where 

 

 

No need to sneak up behind someone and scare the living be-jesus out of ya, eh Ned

Now that lot of photos helped to jog my fading memory on why I love going to Toranafest

Well done to those that have pre entered!! 

 

If you are still deciding on whether to pre enter, and if you are with a Club, you probably need to know that we work out Club spaces based on PRE ENTRIES. 

 

If you ENTER on the DAY, the chances as you will NOT be able to park with your Club. 

 

At this stage only Clubs/ Organisation with 5 cars or more will be allocated an area.  The final list of those Clubs will be released in early September.

G'day All

 

If I can get it up there, I am bringing a Hatchback to be auctioned off on the Friday Meet 'n Greet mine auction for Ronald McDonald House

 

Now it is not your every day Hatchback and it does have a crack in the windscreen and also one in the back window, oh and yes, another one over the roof

It has been carved using a chainsaw    by my wife's cousins father in Narranderra and I have oiled it with Linseed Oil

 

Measures 66cm long x 26cm wide x 22cm tall and at 17.2 kg, it is fur king heavy 

 

Reason for the crack is it was carved from green wood ie newly cut

 

Carving from dried wood is much harder and still would have had cracks in it

 

Obviously this is a one off piece as Allan does not carve cars but mainly animal figures

 

He carved a snake for us from a forked piece of wood making the snake to appear to be rising it's head from a branch

 

Remember this auction is for Ronald McDonald House so please dig deep in those pockets and support  a worthy cause
