Not much can be deciphered from the Chassis number except that your LC GTR body was assembled in January 1970 at the Elizabeth BAP in South Australia.
Being an Adelaide car, if you carefully remove the Compliance Plate on the upper dash panel (near the wiper motor) there should be at least 4 numbers scribed into the reverse side. These are the last digits of the PSN. They can be used to look up the VML to determine your cars identity (Production Sequence Number).
Upon having more time to extrapolate your GTR's numbers I am leaning more towards your car being completed in December 1969 so it will not have a compliance plate in that case.
I now have the engine number if that helps 186P41222 - I dont know if it is original or not
Is there any way I can find the VIN number with the chassis number , motor number (if original) and body id plate as
Chassis number 05842A
Model LC82911
Body 504-A
Trim 1194-41X
Paint 567-11905
cheers
