Hi folks,
Here are details of my families Xu1's. The first being my brothers (73), and the other my uncles. Unfortunately both were sold some years ago. I am pretty sure my brothers (73) was stolen shortly after he sold it? It was a rare beige colour.
If anybody knows anything more about these vehicles or there whereabouts, I would be interested to know.
I have various photos of the cars which I will post if requested.

both have papers from GMH.

if you are pulling those details straight off any known sale site, ebay, carsales, trademe, aussiemusclecars, unique cars, shannons, trading post, my105 etc. just post the link and save the hassle as most cars may well have been discussed on here before.

Can someone please assist with verification on my VIN 82911CL171573 is a GTR, and any other details ie dealer etc
Plus any help on engine No 186s 262061, have been told was bought from GMH new as a short motor in 1973/4 and stored until put into car in 1995/6 ?

your cars does not have a engine number on the vin disc
but CL 171575 does...its 2600S029851, cant help ya with the 186s donk

The VIN indicates an LC GTR completed 16/8/71 and sold by dealer 032 during 11/71. The original colour was Covert Beige Metallic with black vinyl trim. The tags are consistent datewise with each other. The original engine was CF18063 which is unfortunately now missing.

No mate, he bought the vehicle from a person in his late 60's Gymea. The log books even had the sellers details from the car yard. Checks at the time (DMT) did reveal that the vehicle was sent to a police force and never used??? By memory it was NSW Police.

i think there is a photo of your bothers 73 bath xu1 in the latest muscle car mag page 43 REG no GWN-457 looks like a beige colour
a guy i know john m has a 73 bathurst xu1 ex n.s.w police car reg no as a police car was GWN-458

the n.s.w police got about 50 of the last batch of xu1's
i think your bothers xu1 jp388675 is one of these cop cars, that engine is one of the 150 high performance engines
homologation for 73 bathurst my car is the same and the ariel is in the same place as photo in muscle car

That VIN relates to a GTR completed in Brisbane on 12/8/71 and sold by dealer 495 during 10/71. The colour is Duchess Gold Metallic with black vinyl trim. The original engine number was CF18184 (173S)
I think the trim number should be 1829 40v
