Hi All,

Chasing HK GTS wiring diagrams,  just helping out a mate with his HK monaro. The dash wiring has been hack up big time,  engine and both body connectors had been cut out and wired straight thu, real shit job too. He has manage to pick up a couple HT/G looms( not gts) as donors.

Would any one have  a decent wiring diagram. We have a gregorys but I dont think its right for the HK gts. Mr google only gets me a STD HK

This is the mess

HK shop manual may have one. Will look, you can buy the books for reasonable price. If its there it'll be for the U21 sports dash in early HK and might be slightly different to what was in the GTS wiring wise, but not enough to really bother you. Is the car it is for a Monaro or a GTS? As in will it be put together as a GTS, or as a Monaro? I assume he wants to run the GTS instruments? V8 or 6cyl? Auto or 4spd (4spd have the reverse switch through the firewall plug). I do have a NOS HK GTS V8 auto wiring harness (firewall back) somewhere in the shed, but it is to be modified to suit GTS V8 manual, so I cannot let it go.

Could look at lc gtr diagram as a guide after looking at mate's monaro recently...basics look the same.

Most are a mess these days spend more time fixing/repairing the past life dodgies.

Back in the day we used to put in better radios, fit alarms that didn't work, driving lights, CB's etc. It's no suprise to find most looms in a mess after 50 years or so.

yel327, My mate has had it about 10 years now and its getting very close to being on the road, it was a 186 gts 4 speed. Now a 350 and turbo 350, it had been really butched had mini tubs half fitted no motor or box in 1000 pieces. Hes brung it back really well, very stock with out trying to pretend to be a " genuine" car, will post a pic if I can get a half decent one.

Kocchum, Mate your a life save.... well time saver .. takes way to long metering the looms out....the one I have been using is so inaccurate.
