LC/LJ/LH/LX/UC all share the same shifter position, so if it was sitting fine in the UC it will be fine in your LJ.
Tailshaft will need to be modded yes.
Gearbox x member, the one out of the UC would have fit and worked, if you did not get this then yes you will need to either make or buy one.
The off the shelf hydraulic master cylinder kits for LC/LJ are a bit lacklustre, but it will depend on your bellhousing if you can keep the cable or not, I think most Celica bellhousings requrire hydraulic.
The Celica box is very weak, but does have a 5th cog. If your running a bog stock 202 then it should be fine but with anything taller than 3.36 gears you will probably get worse fuel economy in top gear on the highway.
Cheers.

I have 1 at the Farm, LJ 4 dr 202 Celica 5 spd. Modified the cross member myself, 30 off tailshaft from memory, gear shift and console
no problems, used a modified Commodore bell housing and full cable clutch.
diff is 2.78
car was beautiful to drive
