Please don't put up photos of Andy's shed if there is any chance of them being marked with a time and date stamp. i.e. nearly all phones will tag the photo with a GPS position. He asked for this specifically. I will put some up tomorrow morning.

We had 76 Torana's at today's event. 60 odd on Saturday - and they were not all the same cars either! It was a fantastic weekend and thanks to all who attended. That freeway shot is one in a million. Craig did a superb job organising Saturday. The whole weekend was better than we could have hoped. Even the weather cooperated.
There is a small video of the start of today's event here:

Heaps of photos out there but cannot load any ATM. Am sure other folks will be loading them as they arrive.

First time I've seen Marty's car since it was finished and it is gorgeous.
Paint is outstanding, and not just the main colour. I couldn't get over the Matt Black, so good...

I agree with your comment on Marty's car Craig. It was stunning. That last photo you took was a pearler too!! Do you know if the guy with the Supermint A9X hatch was a forum member?

This is the one I was thinking of, but it actually wasn't there. Someone else was asking who owned it and I was assuming he saw it at the show.

I'd like to start off by thanking Craig and Dave for all the work they put into Saturday and Mike (Combined Torana Car Club) for Sunday. It was a weekend I'll never forget. As Potta said to me on Sunday, If we can't have Toranafest, we'll have Toranawest.
Also a big thank you to Janelle Zandvliet from J Zap photography for the stunning photos taken over the freeway and up at the Zig Zag. If anyone would like high res images from the day you can contact them on their Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/JZapix/
For me it was a mix of highs and lows, with my Torana suffering from a buggered rope seal I couldn't risk taking it in the cruise, so I used the weekend as a way to get my first 1000 kays up on the new Commodore so I could get its first oil change out of the way. Two things I learned were that chasing Toranas around for a weekend is not conducive to an easy running in period, and that the tight twisty roads heading up to Toodyay are a Mecca for road bike riders, one of which decided to run into the side of me whilst he was changing lanes without looking. He was lucky he wasn't killed, or at least disabled because my back wheel took out both his and his pillion's footpegs. After hitting my 700 Km old car, he was lucky I didn't kill him myself. Of course he had no insurance and I'm looking at new front and rear doors, side skirt, wheel and tyre, and some work to the rear quarter.
Anyway, back to the good stuff..................SATURDAY.
I got to the meeting point at 7.00am to find Craig and a dozen or so Toranas already there for an 8.30 start. Talk about keen.

My first stop was halfway up the Brookton Highway hill. I couldn't believe just how long I was standing there taking photos of Toranas. I also took video wherever I stopped and will try and work out how to make a utube movie out of it all over the next couple of days.

I don't know who these guys were, but I followed them to the start point after I asked for directions at a set of lights back near the freeway. I think they could sense that I was in an unfamiliar environment.

These legends drove down from their farm near Geraldton. Dad bought it from Sun City Budget Cars and used it for the family transport for many years. Not long ago his young bloke sent him on a holiday and when he came back it was restored back to brand new.
