Looks ok to me but I don't have an original to compare to side by side right now. Good effort. I'd probably buy them for $150.

No, I'm just going to sell them like this. It's up to the buyer to make them fit their car............and I don't have a bender. If you can put the proper bends/angled top and bottom.. They look the part.. well done..

I like your work Rob. Not bad for someone who has NFI what he is doing.

nice.
a lot of people will be happy with this part. I can just see it now " rob's repo parts online" .
I think its a reasonable fair price. 580 for a guard.

What sort of steel is used for panel fabrication?
Posted 15 August 2017 - 06:34 PM
I'm using 1.2mm hot rolled sheet for my sill pieces. Back in the day, this would have been a "gauge" measurement?
18 gauge?
It's the closest I can measure it with a Vernier.
I'm pretty sure panels are thinner as the inner sill is part of the strength as well as the rail material, which, as far as I can measure accurately, is the same as the inner sill?
I'd be happy to learn of these correct thickness's if anyone knows for sure?
