Look at which one is going to devalue faster and buy the one that is not it...
So clearly the second hand Clubby wins unless you specifially want a new car.

I have the VF GTS, in phantom black, with a Walkingshaw upgrade (w507) manual, words cannot describe this car! I my opinion, the GTS is the only one to have, cause, if you have anything else, you would always be wishing that you should have brought the GTS. ( Not to say that there is anything wrong with an SS , or Clubby) Any way, good luck with your new purchase Shiney, you will enjoy it!

Perfect candidate for one, only car holden has ever made to have level 3 track certification.

You will be happy with what you bought LaurieTo late. Already signed on the dotted line. I'm probably not the best candidate for one anyway as it will have the wheels driven off of it.

I bought a brand new 2016 VF SS ute Laurie reasons being
a- I intend to keep this for a very long time
b- got 5 year warranty
c- there never going to make another ute
d- 6.2 litre 415 Hp factory
e- Last of the big bore V8s
oh i get a tax break to ✌️
They are great cars with more features id be buying the Grey Redline SSV
thats a good price is that BGs yard
Have i convinced you yet
Not sure how this is relevant?
I have been led to believe the Ute is not a Commodore unless you go back in time to the mid-90's.
Are you now suggesting otherwise?

Lucky bugger......It might be ready tomorrow which is the last day for Holden in Oz. Be a bit special if that was the case :-)

My brother picked up his new SSV Redline this week.

Stoked! This thing is awesome. I had been telling myself for ages that I was going to baby this car until its first oil change. Then I found the sub menu for the Bi Modal exhaust, and once that is open you can't help but open the taps. It sounds illegal.
I'm already thinking about getting a cheap hack so the missus doesn't have to drive this everywhere.
I emailed Holden a couple of weeks ago asking if they could leave the broadcast sheet in the car, and at the time they said it was not possible. However when I opened the glovebox it was all there. Legends.

Dont forget...to disable Trac. Control AND Stability Control...hold the button in the centre console down for 5 secs....untill both orange lights come up on the dash.
Why you'd ever want to do it, I dont know.(wink wink)....but there it is. Give yourself some space when you do.

Should you slip all that paperwork into a plastic sleeve and place it under the carpet?
Posted 20 October 2017 - 11:19 AM
Not a bad idea. I'm getting the broadcast sheets scanned today so I can put it all away then.
Posted 20 October 2017 - 01:24 PM
Good idea Laurie, I reckon the Holden guys appreciated that some owners of the last ones would like the sheets.
I bought a SS ute last Aug - no paperwork like that was in the car.
My son bought a SSV Redline ute about 3 months ago - all the broadcast stuff was in the glovebox. I was surprised some 457 visa pre-deliver guy didnt bin it.
Happy they didnt.
In years to come it could be great info,or good fire-lighter?...who knows.

Very nice! You made the right choice. I've been enjoying every minute of my SS. I also didn't like the Redline Black wheels, one of the reasons I went for the SS. The car is such a joy to drive. I don't care if I loose money on it because I'm getting my moneys worth every time I drive it. If I had the cash and space I'd park a Motorsport, but I have to be realistic. I'm driving the SS every day too.
There were two manual Motorsports sitting in the showrooms at Lilydale if anyone is keen.
Posted 26 October 2017 - 05:34 PM
I'm actually not that keen on the wheels either. Mostly because they have no dish, but that is a product of the big Brembo calipers. I had a bit of a google the other night but there really aren't that many wheel choices for the Redline. I also want to stay with 19s as the roads around here require a bit more sidewall.
