Hi Guys.

I spend a lot of time these days riding my bike and am a member of a couple of FB social riding groups that do a bit of charity work.

The groups are Victorian Harley Davidson Riders Social Group (VHDRSG) & Victorian Motorcycle Riders Social Group (VMRSG).

One of the big charity ride days we do is for prostate cancer awareness and share 100% of the money between the Prostate Cancer Foundation & EJ Whitten foundation.

Last year we raised $16k and donated 6k to the EJ Whitten foundation and the rest to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

The organizers asked if I knew of any car groups/members of a group that might be interested in joining us at the event this year for a car show/display and thought there would be some interest to help with a display.

The venue is locked in at the Manhattan Hotel Ringwood where there have been a few very successful cars shows with a very large parking/display area.

We (the bike group) will be gathering at Harley Heaven for a 2 hr cruise and arrive at the Manhattan Hotel around 12:00pm, anybody with a bike is also welcome to join in.

There will be people not going on the ride and will be heading to the Manhattan early to get things ready after the ride departs.

We already have commitments from some sponsors/vendors/business’s and are happy to add other organizations to the list, so if anyone is interested in being included let me know and I will connect you to the rest of the committee.

This a great cause and since a large proportion of you are males I’m sure this will be of interest.

Cars can go directly to the venue from 11:00am to park.

Entry is $10.00 per car or bike, please add to the poll if you can bring a car, bike for display so we can get an idea of interested numbers.

See below the event flyer for details.

This is an officially sanctioned event in the name of Prostate Cancer Foundation.

A few bods from Vic will have an idea of how big the car park at the back of the Manhattan is but it can also fill up during these events.

This image is the official flyer, but is not active, use the below link to go to the actual event page.

Hope to see a few of you on site and if you want to group together let me know and we should be able to section off spaces to accommodate.

Follow this link to the official Facebook event.

Great cause, none of us are getting any younger.

Mens health doesn't get the attention that it warrants or the funding it needs.

Its in my diary.

Somehow I reckon my Honda VFR800 would be massively out of place.

G'day Paul,

Great cause - and sounds like a great event. If my Torana is back on the road by then, I will try to make this too.

Cheers,

Brett.

Hey Paul, will kids be welcome to check out the stage area (I assume that will be in a function room?). Or is there an outdoor stage as part of the car show?

Hi Brett, the event is family friendly but the band has to be inside the rear bar, the new owner/manager has said the licencing laws and some not so friendly neighbours put paid to having them outside on the back of a semi trailer.
The Manhattan is fully on board with what we are doing, just need to follow some guidelines.

Awesome. Yep, I recall several years ago when we were running Steel Bumper Sunday at the same venue - we tried for live outdoor music but couldn't get it through. Have no issue heading inside though to check out the band.
