Joe Felice I remember this day very well , John Bagshaw (my Boss) called me into his office and told me the MD has killed off our project due to bad publicity and Government pressure. I had to race around and advise HDT and Harry Firth that the project was scrapped. Then I had to get all the Proto Type cars back and send them to Lang Lang to hide them away from the Press and others. Seeing I had pushed the project through on behalf of HDT & the Motor Racing fraternity I thought I may get fired as well by the end of the day... LOL !!!

Thanks heaps.  I have just looked at them all and got a rush of the excitement and nostalgia for the seventy's that made the search and the embarrassment of bothering and asking complete strangers (yourself for instance)... all worthwhile.

 

I had almost lost hope of seeing any of it again.

 

So thanks again for all your work and interest in keeping it alive.

 

Hopefully there will be others who will find it worthwhile as well.

I can't remember where I found that photo, and I have never seen another shot with either of the HDT cars wearing the Bathurst Globes.
