great stuff....whats with the oil coolers? on the front of the LJs ( colour pic, with yellow HQ in background)....never seen that before

What always sh!ts me about Non-Torana people is when you mention the 72 race and they say oh yeah conditions were right for the little car, wouldn't have won if it wasn't so wet, lucky win blah blah blah.

One of those full page ads mentioned that Torana won in 72 in record time, and yes, IN THE WET!!

So they can all get fr0cked.

Go the mighty Torana!

Joe Felice I remember this day very well , John Bagshaw (my Boss) called me into his office and told me the MD has killed off our project due to bad publicity and Government pressure. I had to race around and advise HDT and Harry Firth that the project was scrapped. Then I had to get all the Proto Type cars back and send them to Lang Lang to hide them away from the Press and others. Seeing I had pushed the project through on behalf of HDT & the Motor Racing fraternity I thought I may get fired as well by the end of the day... LOL !!!

John. I have been scrolling through looking for anything "LJ" and have found your posts with all the photos. An absolute bonanza of photographic history. The only thing is I cannot get to see them because the "URL has expired" and I would really like to see them. Is the any way that the URL can be renewed or some other way that I can have a look at all those photos ? This is real history. It would be great if this could be done somehow. Thanks for putting them on there in 2017. I just wish I had seen them back then. Regards. Jeff.

Thanks for the suggestion. I really do hope that someone will respond as these photos need to be out there with as many enthusiasts as possible so that we do not lose the history of the LJ Torana... or any Torana for that matter as it will not be repeated. It is history worth preserving.

Can all of those people who saw these photos or downloaded them please put them up again. I am really keen to see them as I watched the race on TV back then.
