G'day All

Bit late on the last post for Toranafest but better later than never

One thing people will notice about the HOLDEN Torana is that they are very colourful especially when they are lined up like this and especially when there is 400 of them to look at  :spoton:

AND here is another line-up of the celebrity type

zJ5nX8x.jpg

Oi, that's not a Torana   BUT a good way to get around when you are getting on a bit in age  :stirpot:

Oi, hey you over there, stop harassing that lady again or she'll take an AVO out on you AGAIN

Oh me  :dontknow:

Now I usually have a car of the day and for me this very genuine LX SS Hatchback was it   :spoton:

Genuine original papers

Genuine underneath

AND genuine oil leaks on the motor

I know it's not the u-beaut shiney slick smooth super restored to within an inch of its life Torana, but this is how I like them
Each to their own

This is Steve on the right and his mate Ralph. Steve is a member of my car club and some say it is not a genuine car BUT I can tell you that this was Steve's first Torana bought off the show room floor in 1972 and the reason for the following specs is that it was a promotional thing after Brock's 72 Bathurst win

It had 2850S motor, GTR dash, GTR steering wheel and 4 speed in a 4 door car
Unfortunately the original motor is no longer in it and the reason for that is that Steve was the first and now fourth owner of this car

The two other owners had rallied it and one of them had replaced the motor

AND to finish off, this is what I came across on the way home and was filling up in Goulburn

Neat way to carry your clubman car eh   :spoton:

Maybe see you fellas at Toranafest 2019 where I believe we will be celebrating a certain drivers unique Bathurst win 40 years ago

RegardSS ................. Barry
