The same day I painted the boot, the fenders and the beaver panel, I also epoxy primed the rear quarters. Was a great feeling to have the entire car sealed up, no bare steel anywhere.
Winning
I then sanded the entire car down with 120 on an orbital sander in preparation for the body filler works to start.
Mudded the doors and quarters.
Sand, Sand Sand. All hands on deck!
My OCD kicked in and I couldn't leave the original tail light buckets sitting like they were all un even.
Bogged them up and shaped them, they are mickey mouse now!! That was tedious work chasing 1mm hahaa.
The fellas I had helping me havent come back in ages and since then I have fixed all there mistakes and sanded back the crazy way they put bog on my roof and one quarter panel.
I was so pissed off the way they slapped it on the roof.
Took me over 24 hrs to sand in all down flat.
Coming home from work and spending 3 hrs sanding when bub slept.
I went over every panel with my OCD to ensure the bog work was minimal before I re painted.
All panels bog work blocked to 180 grit before I re applied epoxy.
Worked my arse of yesterday to get it all sealed up.
630 - 330pm, cant have my Dad here at the moment cause of lockdown so riding solo.
Gave it all a once over with 180 first up, then blew the car and panels down for an hour, followed by wiping down all panels with thinners to remove all the etch primer I had sprayed on all my burn throughs, then masked and plastic up all windows etc, of course the wind picked up when I pulled the plastic out fml.
Then wiped down all panels with metho, blew it all down again and then tack ragged and blew down again before applying 2 x coats of 408 again
Im buggered
