Can anyone help me with some info in how hard it is to fit the KC alloy rocker covers on early cast iron heads? Car is LX with standard heater box and fan but it has a9x style master cylinder with dual diaphragm booster. I'm mostly concerned about clearances etc... Thanks in advance.

Shouldn't be an issue, I had to re-make the clutch master cylinder line so I could actually remove the driver side cover but there's just enough room now

I had to add a small bit of clearance to the very corner with a die grinder on mine when the YellaTerra-3 Heads went on, otherwise, they fit as in the above pic.

Ok cool. I have converted to a full cable clutch so I think I will need to look at that. Can you still get the covers off for servicing? Looks very tight to the booster.

Looks like my cable should be ok but looking at the height difference I might need to tweak or remake my driver front brake line.

Yes that's why the banjo fitting on the clutch master, it will come off if you roll it toward the passenger side. It never actually touches the booster

I have YT Alloy Dash 3 heads and Torana engine mounts. Had to modify the rocker cover to clear the booster. HQ mounts might have also worked, but didn't have any at the time.

Yeah ok sweet. Pretty sure I have HQ mounts. The torviki page that used to have a photo of the different types no longer has the photo. Is the easiest way to pick the torana mounts is by the u-shape with a gusset joining it together?

I put a wedge plate between the fire wall & booster. Worked a treat!!

I used one of these types of 90deg fittings in my Clutch Master when I had the Top Loader in the car, original iron heads then, but the rocker cover came off as described above, certainly close to stuff but came off fine.

Ive got the same room as pretty much everyone else tho id do have flexable brake lines i can unbolt the master cylinder and swing it out the way for extra clearance..
one thing i might add if your running big springs and retainers the will hit on the inside of the covers you will need to relieve them
