Hi guys,

I'm hoping someone can help me and a mate. He has found himself a HK Brougham (we hope). We believe the numbers below suggest it's a Sydney-built Brougham, though the build number HK00001 seems too good to be true. Could be? It's also got a 253 sitting in the bay - does anyone know of a 307 Chevy that needs a new home...

Thanks for any help.

The plan is to find out what it is, find the right motor and box somewhere (everything else is there), dummy it all up, then start on the body, which is remarkably good - mainly surface rust, but otherwise solid and complete. A good find, I reckon.

HK tags are always abit funny

81469 is Brougham

80569 is Premier sedan... however...  it could well be right

What colour is this one ?

Wouldn’t it be obvious if it’s a brougham being that it would have an 8 inch longer boot?

Thanks fellas - it’s a gold colour. And yes, it’s got the longer boot, just you never know what the tags say.

And although the body tag has been in place a long time, they're not the original rivets.

I like the look of the Broughams, so nice score.
