Matt, if you don't have a Torana on the road by Summer, there'll be a seat in mine with your name on it :spoton:

Tim

keep up the good work Tim. The way u r going about it is spot on. The only way to know what u have is to do it yourself. Great learning curve also.

Cheers Kaz :D

There's a few things that I would already like to do better on the car (ie: the rear left quarter), and I quite possibly will in a few year's time. For now, though, I just want to build the car to the best of my ability, and enjoy it for a while :D And it's more of a learning straight line, I've learnt so much about my LJ, Toranas and just cars in general over the last 2 years.

Look forward to seeing you and Ruby cruising this Summer :spoton:

Why aren't you at school?

I wholeheartedly agree with what you've said.

Got home this morning and have done a bit more work on the little beast.

Got the front left guard pretty much straight, just need to weld the rust repair bit in now. Before I do that, I need to make myself/find a bit to repair my sill.

Got the boot straight :spoton:

FINALLY got the drivers door off. The bottom pin was rusted and seized and shit, took a lot of work to break. Still have to get the pin out of the middle part of the hinge...

All coming together slowly :D

Nothing much to show yet, Josh... I'll take a couple of pics later in the week when I've actually made some real visible progress.

Gotta come apart to come together, Rob... Maybe you'll learn that when (or should I say if?) you ever do anything to yours :tease:

Not doing anything interesting at the moment... just welding up the holes left by the trim down the side and sanding some bog around the place.

Alright, just because you guys are so hungry for pics...

Today I took the door trims off (Dad made a little tool for getting the Jesus clips out and it works great :D) and found this underneath the drivers one (sorry about the shit pic...)

Posted Image

And this is how she sits now... I turned it around so I could work on the drivers side.

I also managed to weld all of the rivet holes up today, and tidy them up. and got a bit of bogging done on the lower nosecone.

Yeah, Dad got rid of the MIG so I've had to resort to a box of matches and some old wire...

I actually borrowed a MIG off of a mate and it's welding pretty nice. My welding is only getting better :D

I had a good chat to the local painter, and he reckons that acrylic paint is a waste of time. So I've decided to go 2K :D I'm still going to do the painting, but now I'll use the booth etc at the crash shop. AND it's only going to cost me whatever the materials are worth :spoton:
