I need to (in more or less this order):

1. Buy/make/cut out a sill panel for the passenger side, and weld it in
2. Weld the lower passenger guard rust repair panel in
3. Fix the rust in the driver's door
4. Finish cleaning up the rivet spots along the side
5. Fix the dent in the drivers sill
6. Weld up a couple of little holes around the windows
7. Finish 'sculpting' the bog on and around the lower nosecone
8. Attach the passenger guard to the A pillar

And that's all that comes to mind at the moment. oh! Added no. 8 :P

Obviously there will be a few little dents etc that I will find as I'm finishing off, but nothing major. Getting pretty close!

Bloody hell, that's a lot of crap to read!

Thanks very much for the appreciation mate. I know that I've done a few things on this car that I should've and could've done better, but this will do for now. I will probably redo bits of the car in a few years time, when some of the flaws start to show.

Over the next couple of months you should see some real progress on it, so keep an eye out :D

Thanks again, I love hearing people acknowledge the work that I have put into it.

PROGRESS!

Well, kind of :P Got you excited for a sec though, didn't it! :P

I've been working flat out for the last two weeks at home, earning a bit of coin to throw at the LJ :D But I got a couple of little things done. Just sanding around the place etc.

BUT! Today I went out to the farm and got a couple of bits for some people, and I cut a sill off of my shell to use on my good LJ. Should do the trick, I reckon.

Matt, I've got your springs.

Alf, I've got your indicator hole thingy.

I also found a pair of LC headlight surrounds in the scrap heap  One of them is farked, but the other one is pretty usable. Giveaway to a good home. squirralien might want it?

And thats about it! Nothing major to report, but I wanted to check in so it looks like I've done something in the two weeks that I've been home.

How good is spending Money!!! Carpet and rubbers are things that really make a massive difference! You don't know how good a value they are, until you have shit carpet and shit rubbers to compare them against! The ride comfort with new stuff is just 100000 times better!

I got the plush pile carpet. Not the top spec stuff, but not the worst. I think it should be a bit easier to keep clean than the really thick stuff... Gunna be better than the old cracked vinyl/plastic shit anyway!

Got plenty to do before I get the rubbers and carpet in... have to get it painted before I do any of that. Next is to get the sills fixed, after that I can weld the rust repair patch into the guard, and then finish welding the guard to the A pillar.

That will be the major body work done :spoton: Then I'll spend a heap of time sorting out the little shit... little spots of rust around the place, a bit of bog work, etc etc.

I've got a deadline! 7th of December :spoton: Between now and then, however, I only spend 30 days at home. So I think that I might just concentrate on getting the paint, body and interior spot on before then, and worry about the mechanicals after. Except the 4 speed, of course :D
