Progress report :D

Yesterday's efforts:

Posted Image

Got the drivers side sill pretty well done. I still need to clean it up a bit, but its more or less straight and rust free now :D

Today's efforts:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Got the passenger's sill and the lower guard rust repair done :spoton: All went pretty smoothly. Had to reshape the Rares repair patch a fair bit, but I got there in the end :D

Tomorrow I'll clean all of this up and get the windows out so I can fix the doors, and finish straightening the rear quarter. :spoton:

Cheers Ben. Yeah, definitely cruising this Summer... I don't reckon I'll make the HTC Christmas cruise, though... Our Christmas pageant in Cowell is on Christmas Eve, and the olds reckon I'm dreaming if I think I can enter it in that. So I'm out to prove them wrong. Done before Christmas, as they say :D

I definitely am, can't wait.

Do you reckon I should weld the sill to the guard? This is my current dilemma :P You can see here the gap, I don't know whether I should join it or not.

Waddya reckon?

Lots of little spot welds? Last thing you want to do is warp the panel though.

I know how to do it, I'm just asking if I should :P Closing it makes the sill nice and smooth... I'm leaning towards doing it now.

Yeah, do it! Last thing you want is the bog cracking there when you take the car for its first drive!

I think my point is being missed :P

I will either leave the gap there, or weld it up. So it will either look like the guard and sill are seperate, or one piece.
