With the LED's, my cousins VR Calais has footwell lights from factory, which are hooked up via the door light switch. It doesn't look too hard to wire up a similar setup, but i dunno.

Can't wait.
Gunna Continue pulling bits off the front of the good LJ, keep drilling out spot welds on the shell, and see how much my new wheels are really worth

I agree. Especially just a mild streeter LJ. There's plenty of showcars, and a heap of racecars, and a few resto'd stockers. But not many mildly modded ones.

Here she is. It's a bit rough on the outside, but the interior is in good nick, and the 202 was replaced not long ago.
There she is. "Max" is the name.
Its a 202 with a 350 Holley (would you like a less economical engine, sir?), mated to a Traumatic. Has HJ Premier front seats. Thats about it really...

It's getting a 350 Holley'd 202 and a Trimatic
What? Has it already got that? Or are you putting that in? I thought you hated autos.
And why on earth would you want a 350 Holley? At least whack a blue block with a high comp head in, paint it red, bolt a Varijet on there and stick a snorkel on so it looks factory.

It's already got a 350 Holley and Trimatic, and that's how it is staying.
Like makka said. But I'm not the one that's gunna drive it, thats what the LJ is for...
Mum is going to use the Premier as a car to drive to work, which is about 10k's out of Cowell.
Oh, and we won $15 grand yesterday.

I still don't understand why you wouldn't want to make it more economical for like $50 worth of carb & gaskets.
Congratulations. Can I have some?

non-factory spot welds. Which means the guards have been off before.

We've decided that we are going to leave the RH Gaurd on, and just swap the nosecone and LH Gaurd.
As you can see here -
- The gaurd has been re-welded. We are going to cut down this weld, and redo it with the good panels. Any tips for this job would be great.
I've made a rough template for my console. This is pretty close to what it will look like, with the M20 shifter through the bottom section, and a Head Unit in the front vertical section. The 6.5" speakers will be in the sides.
Waddya Reckon?

A couple of things I need to ask -
How do I take the door off? I need to do this to get the front guard off.
I'll think of more things as the weekend gets closer.

The console will be built after the M20 is in. Hopefully this summer holidays. And I still need to get a HU for it, which will probably be around April next year.

Engine will be stock until 2008, when I plan to build a Blue 173 for it.
Plans are described on the first page of this thread.
Click the 'WWW' button underneath my post to access my CarDomain page. All plans and progress etc will be on there.
