Instead of welding the gaps between the guards and (what is this panel called?), we used seam sealer. Came up really good after paint.
Also got a heap of seam sealer onto the A pillars to neaten up the failed abortion that was there...
Used underbody sealer under the sills, to try to prevent stone chips.
First we painted the inside of the doors, and the dash etc.
Then we masked it up and painted the shell.

I think I'm in love.
And today's efforts -
I painted my steering wheel insert, and removed the tacky little badge at the bottom -
And my interior mirror -
Back into it tomorrow, I've gotta do the mirrors, dash fascia, and a few other little bits. Then we'll start thinking about putting it back together on the weekend

The steering wheel insert looks heaps better in good light, that photo is a bit shit.
There's a bit of shit in the paint (the joys of painting in a shed), but nothing too serious. We found 2 little ripples on the tops of the front guards, apart from that she is straight as a die
Gunna start getting the rubbers on today, and hang the boot and bonnet. Might even chuck my wheels on for a look

i wasnt knocking the quality of the paint on the steering wheel, i was just saying its not the kind of wheel i would go for with the car, but its just my opinion, and its not my car! (though i wish it was!!)
overall again i will say it looks great. look forward to more pics with the panels hung and wheels!
