Well just to clear up any confusion, I didn't paint it. Got another mate/panel beater helping me now. Most of the work done since November has been his, I have just been helping out where I can/watching and learning as he works. I had more money than skills, so it made sense to pay someone with some idea to do the work :D

DJ, if it's any consolation, mine has 2 less panels to get straight :P

Got the wheels on today, it looks mint :D I also did the inside of the boot in underbody sealer, and painted the inside of the bonnet and mirrors.

And then I sat inside it for a while making vroom vroom noises... Coming out of turn 4 when this pic was taken

I reckon I'll drop it a little bit when I rebuild the suspension. Nothing too major though... And it won't be with an angle grinder :tease:

Yes, it is legal when you say you 'adjusted' the springs on gmh-torana.com
It is illegal if you say you 'cut' the springs and post it on calaisturbo.com

I've been at work for the last month (I work 4 weeks on/2 off on a drill rig). Expect to see some progress over the next week.

I'm gunna drag one of the my complete parts cars in from the farm, and work from front to back, transferring all of the bolts and bits from the parts car to the good one...

Front bumper, grille, headlight surrounds etc all almost fit properly! I was a bit worried about the front end, because I had to do so many different repairs on it, but everything lines up :D

Well... The trim on the front of the car almost lines up. The taillights, however... Left hand taillight is a bit of a squeeze, but it will go.

Also knocked one of my freshly painted and assembled GTS mirrors out of the cupboard, smashing the glass and scratching the paint :furious: I've got spare glass though, luckily.

And the chrome gutter trim, which is in somewhat second hand condition anyway, doesn't fit perfectly...

Anyhoo, progress is happening, but the exterior trim is really going to let this car down big time...

if it don't fit and lets it down visually
leave it off
looks cleaner without the chrome imo anyway :)

I'm talking about the headlight and taillight surrounds, grill, bumpers, everything... I'll endeavour to replace them all as soon as possible though.

EDIT: Forgot to post progress :P

Got the ignition barrel sorted (finally), and put the column back together and fitted it up. And I got the taillights, rear bumper and fuel tank in :D Almost starting to look like a car again :D

Weeeell! I've had a bit of a change of mood with this car... Instead of getting everything as good as possible, (apart from getting the windows tinted) I'm going to throw it together with what I've got, in the condition I've got it in, and work on replacing/repairing a few bits after it is back on the road. Got the carpet and back seat in now, and I'm liking the cream/purple/brown colour combo :spoton:
