(Not sure why that pic ended up upside down...

Also today I bought a boss kit for my steering wheel, and got my windows tinted :D Tomorrow I will get all of the seatbelts back in, the steering wheel and dash back in, and start to rebuild my doors. Maybe get the windscreens in tomorrow night...

Cheers Mick & Mick. I should add that I took the back seat out again to get it repaired, the top of it is faaaarked from the sun. And I'm getting a new hoodlining made (which means that the windscreens can't go back in tomorrow :banghead:

For the bumpers etc, DJ? I was gunna leave them, to remind me to get new ones ASAP :P A polish would help, but they are beyond that. Dented/split, rusty, etc.

You would be surprised how much purple would tidy them up.

Cheers.

I realise that, Col, but I can do all of that while it is on the road... I didn't take any shortcuts getting the body ready for the road, but everything else can be fixed in a couple of hours/day/weekend...

Your car looks great Tim and is a credit to your skills and perseverance. I really like the lighter interior with the purple exterior.

I did my XU1 like that - a running resto. Lets you enjoy it while you continue to tidy it up.

I've seen lots of cars with silver painted bars and it looks good and would be a cheap and fast way to tidy them up.

Keep at it. :buttrock:

Thanks Craig. I really like the cream interior too, heaps more interesting than black...

Chris, your racer is looking great :D Got me sold on the silver bumpers. I might just get glass bumpers and paint them though...

Got the passenger door reassembled today :D Prick of a job, but managed to get it all right the first time :spoton: This arvo I might start on the driver's door.

Also got my old hoodlining and the back seat to the trimmer this morning, they should be ready on Monday... Unfortunately I'm in Adelaide all next week, and hopefully I start my new job just after Easter, so progress will halt again after the weekend...
