maybe you should drag that home if it's fixable.

The white one is fixable, but you'd want a helluva lotta time and spares available... Its pretty rusty, all of the panels are dented. Its got a black interior - front seats, in not bad nick... I might wreck it and flog it off here...

No, the photochop didn't fool me. You've certainly been putting in the hard work, Tim. I don't think the white powdercoat on the bumpers is a great look either, maybe just on the wheels?wonder if your pic will fool the older generation

A bit slow on it lately, I need to sort out some rust repair sections... When the sandblaster gets here we should see some more progress.

Thats the same as ours. Compressed air + sand in at the top, compressed air and sand go out through the bottom hose.
Yesterday I got in and tore out the old vynil carpet shit from the front, and had a squiz at the floorpans. They're not in bad nick.
Those pics are pretty deceiving, theres nothin more than surface rust on the floor.
and this is the lower left A Pillar...

I love Monty Python. haha.
Got the sandblaster cranked up today, it works alrightish, but we're gunna check all the fittings and stuff tomorrow. It feels like the air is pressurising the tank, instead of creating a venturi at the bottom. We'll have a squiz tomorrow.

Does the sandblaster not work by pressurising air in the tank, when pulling the trigger on the gun that air is then released, in turn picking up the sand and blasting it onto your panel or whatever?
I'm interested to see how you go with it, in a few weeks i plan on taking my lx back to primer for a new paintjob.
Will the sandblaster be alright for exterior panels? also, does it take it back to bare metal or does that depend on the pressure settings?
Thanks,
Rhys.

The sand is fed through the bottom of the tank, mostly by gravity, and the pressurised air grabs it as it goes past, to put it as basicly as possible.
We tested it on a bit of steel that had some pretty severe rust on it, and it took it back to metal pretty well. By playing with the pressure settings, you could probably set it to only take the paint off. YOou'd be better off going to baremetal, though, probably.

Waddya Reckon?
I'm also toying with the idea of installing a MP3 HU into the original radio slot, instead of the console. Input would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, RIM

New headunits do fit, but for me, it was incredibly tight getting it into the original lj slot. I think it may have even tore the dash a little when i was getting it in, but then i wasnt exactly being careful when i did it. So maybe take your time and it may fit. With the Prostars not fitting, I was on the lookout for a new set of wheels. Found some that I like, Performance Titan's, as seen on Broads' LC GTR and [POLAR-8].
