^ That bit was a rust repair patch we put in. Yes, there is metal under the filler, the bog is just there to seal it.

Now I have the panels dummy fitted, for welding tomorrow!

Alrighty. A bit of bad news first...

Posted Image

Which I found here -

Posted Image

Bit annoyed about it. Would've been easy to knoock out with the panel off of the car, but now that it's welded in it's a bit of a task.

Posted Image

Welded down the gaurd -

Posted Image

Patched up the aerial hole -

Posted Image

and with a coat of metallic bog, you'd never know it was ever there! -

Posted Image

Bit more of said metallic bog on the corner here, to cover the weld and get it smoooth. -

Posted Image

And here -

Posted Image

And here -

Posted Image

Got a bit more to do, cleaning up welds etc.

My latest dilemma -

Posted Image

The little bolt on panel that holds the light surrounds and grille in place doesn't fit too well. Bolt one end on, and you have to twist it to bolt the other end on. Any ideas?

Then there's this bit I need to fix -

Posted Image

Cheers, Tim

the problem youve got with that little valance panel may not be that easily fixable. Did you trial fit everythin before you welded it? The way we always do things is to self tapper all the panels back on, then trial fit ALL the parts, then once your sure its good, weld it on, and remove the screws. this way youa re sure everything is square and right.

thats my only thought on the matter. :spoton:

i reckon heaths spidey sence may have been very wrong. I havent seen anything done to his car for AAAAAGGGEEEES! id say its a race!

We didn't trial fit this, unfortunately...

I'll probably just oblong one of the holes to get it to fit straight...

I too believe that it may be a fair race between Heath and I :spoton:

Elongate both holes if necessary, but make it central to the car.
