At first glance I thought it was Vyvyan's car from The Young Ones but after goggling it I see it was different...

Yep that was its cousin the Ford Anglia, already what a 17+ year old car when they shot the TV series?

Very nice and tidy unit.
Mate had an Anglia late 70s.
Had a Twin Cam motor fitted to it.
White over powder blue like the Harry Potter one.
Apart from odd paint spots from repairs.
Standard looking but slightly wider wheels. Painted horribly.
Can assure you that the car managed to put a lot of cars to shame off the lights around Sydney in its day.
Including the supposedly fastest 4 door in the world at the time.

I think English Fords are acceptable , Cortina, Escort, late Anglia and Zephur
some models better than others
nice looking unit
I have a Mark 2 Escort at the Farm we could start a English Ford subsection

Love the Mk 1 Cortina, great get. Plenty of options to repower if thats the road you want to go down.
Colour reminds me of my Appendix J (Group N) Cortina lots of years ago.

Yes Rodomo, Calder Park early 1980's coming on to the main straight.
First shot is a club event when some Appendix J cars were allowed to run with the road registered guys and the second is amongst an Appendix J field.
The Cortina was eventually totalled at Phillip Island by the guy l sold it to.
