Well finally got my engine i got hold of a seca ae 82 got complete car from Victoria drove it home has a sweet 4age in it I was having bets with mates how many times I would get pulled over with no plates to my surprise only the once cop was cool though we talked cars for about 1 hour lol....also managed to get a jdm t50 rear wheel drive box so slowly getting all the bits...

Yep got the Toyota for engine lol and it had a C160 lsd 6 speed box in it so I sold that to pay for my t50 has brand new tyres so a few bucks there plus all the other stuff to sell so I have done ok as I only paid $1500 for it

And driving a Kiadore... "How embarrassment" (as Effie used to say), or maybe "Sucked in bad" would be more appropriate!

 

All the hwy cars around here are still V8's at least...

Just for my understanding, Did the Toyota have a 6 speed front wheel drive box?
Are you putting the AE82 in as rear wheel drive?

One of my mates loves the little Toyotas but I hadn't heard of a 6 speed fwd.

Yeah mate the gearbox bolted to the 4age was from a Levin BZ-R or Trueno BZ-R. They are the only two to offer 6speed lsd in Toyota fwd previous owner took the 5 speed out and put the C160 lsd in...the engine will now be a rear wheel drive engine

I'd guess they're hedging their bets, leaving the engine bay standard so they can put the car back the way it was if they ever want to sell it?

 

I can't imagine anyone would pay as much for it in it's current condition.
