Why didn’t you buy 1885 instead?

The 1885 is the pertronix I and the 91885 is the pertronix II. I just liked the sound of that one better.. But that shouldn't effect the mounting at all as its only the module that's different.

Looking at the pics on the Pertronix website. They are two different beasts.

Had a closer look and yeah the base plate shape appears the same. I didn’t have any issues with the 1885 fitting my Bosch dizzy.

The application details for the 1885 specifies Australian made Bosch distributors. Where as the 91885 does not state that.

Were you looking on the aussie or overseas website?... This is what the shop ordered for me... So I'll check up.

So this is my kit.... The JEGS people told me that this was the right one.

https://www.jegs.com.../91885/10002/-1

And when you go on the pertronix site the 2 items look pretty much identical I thought??

I rang the Aussie distributor... And yeah the 91885 is identical in size and fitment as the 91885... it just has a few mow internal features. He told me that sometimes the US manufacturers can get it slightly wrong. And mine only didn't fit by half a millimeter. So a quick file sorted that and I should now be good to go.
