Hey All, would anyone have a few very good quality pictures of a standard, restored LC GTR in Etruscan Gold?

 

I have a friend with one that he's had since he got his licence back in the 80's and its been neglected for the last 20 odd years, so I'm trying to give him the inspiration to get started on the restoration.

Hey Laurie, i don't know how you posted those photo's, but for the first time in 12 months i can finally see them on my old tablet. Thank you & the car looks really nice, looks the red walls on it, with the gtr trims ect. Gary.

I'll pass that along, but I'd love someone to find a GTR pic, I've had a fair poke about on the internet and it seems to be a difficult find.

In 12 years of collecting GTR and XU-1 data, I have only come across 6 in this colour - 3 GTRs and 3 XU-1s. The colour was only available for around 6 months.

I didn't do anything different to what I usually do Gary. I know nothing about computers, so I can't really help you there.

Bazza, Sweet!

The info is very interesting also. Might explain why I had so much trouble finding pics.

 

He'll be even more keen with that sort of info to return it to the original colour.

Yes Laurie, I'm finally seeing the pictures, it's like Christmas for a little kid, only 12 months after we we're meant to be able to, but got there in the end. Hopefully no one has a little fiddle with it again.

I remember there was one that colour in Boyanup years ago ,was a 173s ,apparently found covered by a blackberry bush but in restorable condition,I saw the car.I did hear some time later it was sold to someone in Busselton.

It was relatively common on early HQs. I know of several Premiers & Monaro LSs in this colour.
