Nice work, are the skins readily available? The car looked tidy before why the strip back.

Had to hunt around a bit to find the skin managed to get one through a place here in SA called Aveska autos.... yeah pictures it looked ok but every panel was a different colour obviously every previous owner had a crack at tidying it up it really needed to be stripped back and start again....I’m just surprised the door is the only really bad bit we found....

The finest of all the Monaro's in the 70's,..having personally owned 3 HJ GTS coupes at various times these in my opinion these are the best looking of all the Monaro's..the colours and dash layout etc..if i was buying again I'd buy a HJ before LE anyday of the week..anyway great work restoring this beauty,.if it was mine i'd be getting rid of the twin headlight front and putting a single front,..just my opinion good luck with it..

Cheers festa I have managed to pick up a NOS front end consisting of both guards bonnet nose cone rad support grill headlight surrounds headlight buckets indicators and grill can’t believe my mate had all this stuff from 1984 just sitting in his shed 😀 my mate that owns this HJ also owns an LE coupe 😀

Orbital sander with 80 grit and wire wheel mate have the big paint stripping disc on an big sander aswell but that was good for the big stuff
