Someone made more than 3000 hp in the dyno shed. That’s nearly a thousand more than the old record.

Team turbo for the win in the pro radial car!
Mind melting stuff.
Bubba’s little turbo commodore made 2483hp to win the forced induction V8 class, approximately 1000 hp ahead of second place.
Unbelievable!

Was there any standout lc-lj 4drs there Rexy..
Yes there were quite a few. A blue one similar in colour to my LJ looked very nice.
Not sure I saw any very early (HB/TA) cars.

I really should do a piece on Summernats number plates sometime. There have been some rippers over the years.

The post lunch highlight was the re running of the Doorslammer and the pro radial twin turbo car on the dyno.
Yesterday had gone to the turbo car with victory by less than 20 hp.
Today the doorslammer ran first.

I would love to have one. Bit of a palaver though getting it started what with the external battery and BYO starter motor to mount to the blower. Seems to need a lot of folk as seen in the pic.
Good looking fella taking that photo! You ask what's so important about the BYO Starter motor? It's basically the only ACDelco part that they can use on the car! 4 x ACDelco Batteries mounted together! haha.
The slammer ended up running 2992hp, but that is 2992hp that can be used on the track, the 3000hp the turbo car did couldn't be translated to the track!
Great pics again with Summernats! We may have bumped into each other if you call past the ACDelco stand and put your entry in to win, I was floating between there and the Slammer Pits just outside.
