g'day all

dose any have the specs [valve sizes ] and cam for the 186 xu1 engine 

thinking about building the 173 to those specs

Hi Albert

 

The 186X valve sizes were:

Inlet           1.622" - 1.626"

Exhaust     1.411" - 1.417"

 

Which altered slightly with the CK Prefix 186X to:

Inlet           1.619" - 1.629"

Exhaust     1.404" - 1.417"

 

The 186X timing specs were:

Inlet valve opens BTC            23 deg

Inlet valve closes  ABC           65 deg

Duration                                268 deg

Lift @ valve                          .345"

Exhaust Valve opens BBC      58 deg

Exhaust Valve closes ATC      30 deg

Duration                                268 deg

Lift @ valve                          .345"

Valve open overlap                 53 deg

 

 

The CK prefix 186X timing specs were:

Inlet valve opens BTC            38 deg

Inlet valve closes  ABC           86 deg

Duration                                304 deg

Lift @ valve                          .429"

Exhaust Valve opens BBC      77 deg

Exhaust Valve closes ATC      46 deg

Duration                                304 deg

Lift @ valve                          .429"

Valve open overlap                 84 deg

 

I have the original 173S timing specs if you want those too.
