I'm having the same problem with my Flares. had the rears re-shaped, as they pulled in at the bottoms and the fronts...I'm not even sure how I'm going to modify them to fit well.

Yep, there's flares, and then there's flares! If you're trying to fit larger overall diameter wheels/tyres you may even need to cut the flare in half at the twelve o'clock position and actually make the wheel arch opening longer, as well as re-shape both lower ends.

Only MOST people do all that BEFORE the car gets painted... eh Mando. :P

That made me laugh Andrew.

I never though to check that one, and none of the magnificent professional tradespeople and artisans I used suggested it to me.

Not knowing a lot about cars, it seems so obvious now.

Where were you when I needed help?

Kindest Regards Always......

Mando.

Yeah I had to do as per Andrew to fit 17" wheels. Added 1 1/2" to the guards as I don't have flares. Cheers Ron

Nearly done.

Engine bay and under car complete, nothing to do.

Try not to speak so soon Jeff.  :)

Seriously though, your car has come up looking a million bucks. I bet you invented a few new swear words when you first saw the flare.

Seriously though, your car has come up looking a million bucks. I bet you invented a few new swear words when you first saw the flare.

And there we go Laurie, spoke to soon.

Brake pedal goes to the floor, fluid in with no leaks.

Out comes the booster tomorrow morning.

Clutch pedal goes down fine , but only comes back half way.

My guy will have a look at that tomorrow as well.

When I heard the crack of the flare Laurie, I shrugged my shoulders and thought no big deal.

There's not to much that bothers me or get's me upset.

I probably would have been a lot more annoyed if the flare had damaged the guard as well.

Was that Repliglass in QLD?

They may have come from Repliglass, I'm fairly certain they did come from Queensland.

I remember when I got then they still needed some massaging, but they were really well made.

Regards Mando.

Oh, crikey Mando. I have been in close proximity to two people having strokes in the last couple of years. My dad was one, and a neighbour over the road from where I live now was the other.  It is incredible to realise just how fragile the brain can be when a tiny clot can debilitate a human being in such a way.  After picking up my neighbour off the floor and getting him into his car and to the medical centre, he died not long after.  My dad however, is as full of life as he always was. He lost some of his sight, but with a willingness not to give up and plenty of rehab he is once again doing all the things he loves to do.

Don't let this stop you from doing your thing Mando.  I can't wait to see more pictures of the Torana mate.

It sucks to hear that Mando. Use that Torana as motivation and I hope for a full recovery for you!

Hi Guy's,

has anyone put any braces onto the front spoiler for any reason?

Regards Mando.

I'd suggest that's more to push the edge out for tyre clearance than a brace, but I suppose if the edge of the guard hasn't be rolled/flanged where it was cut then it could add some strength too.

All L34's and A9X's came with braces standard from the factory.  Not many cars still have them.

She's looking nice Mando.

Only problem is you have a HQ horn cap now! That is the only place an SS badge appeared on a horn cap.
